Our Lugol’s Solution is 10% Potassium Iodide and 5% Iodine. 

For comparison purposes, this is a 5% Iodine product.  

What is Lugol’s solution?

This is the correct combination of Iodine and Potassium Iodide to be called Lugol’s Solution. It was first developed by French physician Dr. Jean Lugol in the 1820s, hence the name.

Ingredients:

10% Potassium Iodide and 5% Iodine in an aqueous solution (distilled water).

Use:

Lugol’s iodine solution is often used as an antiseptic and disinfectant, for emergency disinfection of drinking water, and it has been used to replenish iodine deficiency.
