Methylene blue can bring oxygen to the brain’s mitochondria and in many cases, it’s critically needed.
Dr Francisco Gonzalez-Lima, a neuroscientist from the University of Texas in Austin, discovered that a very low amount of USP-grade methylene blue in the body can promote brain oxygen consumption by an enzyme called cytochrome oxidase to power the mitochondria. In his analysis of many Alzheimer’s brains, he found inhibition of cytochrome oxidase in all of them. Methylene blue supplementation compensates for that problem.
